Hi there, I'm Michelle! I am currently 17. I was born on the early morning of April 28. At this moment in time I am a senior at HIS. Four years are flying by since I first stepped into this building to start my journey as a high school student. I am half japanese and american.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, bout 20 mins away from Washington DC, in a ranch-style home. Fact, the house came with a forest that surrounded it, sort of enclosing us from the rest of the neighbourhood. So, as a little girl I spent lots of my summer vacation days roaming around on my own. Spending time out there as a little girl was probably my most fondest memory as a kid. Even though I was fortunate enough to have a beautiful rich forest right at my fingertips, my mom wouldn't let my sister and I go out there because of the bugs and poison ivy. But I was a rebel so I chose to take chances since I found the forest to be so calming, and sort of like my own personal place. I memorized some paths and remember spending lots of time observing different plants and bugs. I know that because of that little forest, I grew my love for the outdoors which is still something that I love today!
Fast forward a couple years, I'm now in Yokohama. I attended an International school called YIS for my 3-5th grade years and then moved back to Virginia for middle school.
Middle school Michelle can be summed up into 4 things. A violin player, runner, writer and horseback rider. I spent years learning how to play the violin and eventually my orchestra team had opportunities to travel to Pennsylvania to compete, and we brought back a strong 1st place! I joined running teams both in school and out of school and participated in many 5k and 3k runs. Believe it or not, I was really into writing stories back then. I wrote a couple books (printed out with a nice cover and everythin) and a group of my good friends and I used to peer edit our novels and fan girl over the storylines. I was the horse crazy girl in school. I spent every weekend at the barn hanging out, cleaning, riding, and playing with the horses. :)
I lived in a haunted house?! Yes you read that right. The 3 story house that we had moved into was a townhouse, which actually made unusual, loud tapping and eerie noises every night throughout the house and especially in the attic. My room was right below the attic with the only access to the attic, and I remember my sister and I thinking that our house was really haunted. Our closet doors would open and shut by themselves, the shower room that connected both our rooms would echo barefoot footsteps when no one was there, and vivid nightmares haunted my sister and I in our sleep. Creepy? Countless other occurrences had happened but most likely with all reasonable explanations (maybe :)). Okay moving on
My favorite music genre is very wide. I love listening to all sorts of music--from country to dance, pop, dubstep, electronic, piano solos....it's safe to say I just love music in general.
Michelle in the future will be working at a hospital as an RN, as far as my planning goes.
This is my about me for now, peace out
